Should we hide who we are in public?
Should we, as young gay and bi sexual men and women be forced, even though it is not obvious, to hide who we are in fear of being targeted by people in the heterosexual community? Should we not be allowed to hold our partners hand or kiss them in public without fear of being judged, being threatened verbally or physically? When I am out with my partner I fell constantly frustrated because I cannot hold his hand or even kiss him, the most basic forms of affection because we know and feel that this city, no this country is not ready for that. People may say that the country has come along way for Gay Rights but there are still those people who cannot accept us for who we are and until they are reduced to a small number I think that this ideaology will remain for a long time.
