Sole Purpose productions, in partnership with The Rainbow Project, presents Galatea by Lawrence Aronovitch, directed by Patricia Byrne. Following a sell-out performance and standing ovations in The Derry Playhouse Theatre in August 2011, Galatea is back again by popular demand for this year’s Belfast Pride Festival and accross Northern Ireland in Newtownabbey, Strabane and Derry/Londonderry. Galatea takes a fresh look at the Pygmalion legend from a gay perspective. It is a comedy about love, loyalty, infidelity, marriage, class and art. This production is supported by the Foyle Foundation and the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland.
