For a little taster of what we have up and coming see below:
Condom Packing – Fancy a bit of fun, pizza and lemonade? Can you help us pack condoms for our Sexual Health Outreach Project? We are hoping to run once a week on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm. Chat, catch up and have fun while helping us provide safer sex packs to the LGBT Community.
Health Outreach – The Health Outreach team are led by Niall and Mark who go out to the Gay scene to provide information, advice and support to LGBT people on the scene. If you like talking to other people, enjoy a bit of craic, a bit of music and can help us on Monday or Friday evenings twice a month and identify as LGB or T then this is the opportunity for you.
LGBT Health Hub – The Rainbow Project is in the process of developing an LGBT Health Hub which will be a safety project based in Belfast City Centre alongside the Health Outreach project. The project will aim to provide on street support for the LGBT community on Monday and Friday evenings – providing a safe space for LGBT victims of hate crime, a safe space to get a taxi home from or simply a safe space to book in for a rapid HIV test. If you are keen on supporting vulnerable LGBT people who may be at risk of sexual, physical or mental health issues then this is the opportunity for you.
Health Administration – Do you have good office skills? Are you organised? Are you committed to confidentiality and the supportive ethos of the Rainbow Project? Do you need CV experience in admin, finance, data input or venue booking? We are looking for dedicated volunteers to directly support our health and wellbeing and services team with confidential administration. If you think you have the skills then we need you.

We run a variety of workshops, focus groups and training sessions across the year to a plethora of different groups – young people to professionals, LGBT people to organisations. These are usually staff led but we are keen to allow our volunteers to help us in further delivering and developing these training sessions. If you think you’ve got what it takes and are keen to get some experience in workshop or training facilitation then we need you!
