We celebrate and appreciate our volunteers – they are the backbone of our organisation and we couldn’t deliver the services we provide without their help. Our volunteers help us with outreach programmes such as sexual health clinics, befriending, fundraising and our campaigns such as marriage equality and advocacy services.

The Rainbow Project was founded in 1994 by a group of volunteers who worked tirelessly to establish the project as a dedicated health organisation for gay, bisexual and non-heterosexual men in Northern Ireland.

Although The Rainbow Project has grown and employs full-time staff for service provision, we have become more reliant on the involvement of volunteers within the organisation. Our volunteers bring vital skills, experience, diversity and character to the organisation. We actively seek to promote, support and involve volunteers in all aspects of our work. We would love you to join our team!
