Palliative and End of Life Care for LGBTQIA+ People

Support from the Cancer Champions Team

The Cancer Champions team at The Rainbow Project provides support to LGBTQIA+ people (18+) who have been affected by cancer. This could be someone who has or has had cancer, or if you feel you have been impacted by a family member or close friend with having, or having had cancer.

We provide one-to-one emotional support, Death Cafes and End of Life Workshops.

Our Death Cafes are predominantly based in the Belfast and Derry/ Londonderry and provide a safe space for people to talk about their own experience of death. This could be about your own mortality, grief or bereavment.

End of Life Workshops, part of our Courage Conversations series, are also predominantly based in Belfast, Derry/Londonderry, and online as facilitated e-learning sessions.

To sign up to our workshops keep an eye on our social media for updates, and our events page.

We are funded in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and can refer into their services.

To get in touch with a member of the team call 028 9031 9030 for Belfast or 028 7128 3030, or email info@rainbow-project.org to get a referral form.
