Asexuality and Aromanticism Training
Asexuality and Aromanticism are often misunderstood identities, while new to wider understanding, our training will show that no LGBTQIA+ identity is new, the language or understanding however may be.
Our Asexuality & Aromanticism Awareness training aims to provide you the most up-to-date and positive understanding to be the strongest ally to the “invisible orientation”, the ‘A’ within LGBTQIA+ community.
This course will teach:
- Awareness of Asexuality and Aromanticism identities through reframing our understanding of attraction.
- Understanding of the different identity labels and experiences within the Asexual/Aromantic spectrums.
- Understanding of the health & wellbeing experiences of Asexual and/or Aromantic people.
- Understanding of the discrimination and biases towards Asexual and/or Aromantic people.
- Understanding of intersectionality within the Asexual and/or Aromantic communities.
- Understanding of being an ally towards the Asexual/Aromantic communities.
Our training can be delivered:
- Online via Microsoft Teams.
- In person at your venue.
- In person at our premises at our centres in Belfast or Derry/Londonderry. (Restrictions may apply)
- In person at a 3rd party venue you can access.
