LGBTQIA+ Awareness: Cancer Champions
Suitable for all knowledge levels on the topic, our LGBTQIA+ Awareness sessions combined with our Cancer Champions section will help raise your confidence supporting LGBTQIA+ people throughout their cancer care.
In addition to the LGBTQIA+ Awareness training, this course will teach:
- An awareness of the Cancer Champions project and how to refer in.
- An understanding of the barriers faced by LGBTQIA+ people within cancer care.
- An understanding of the research and current landscape.
- Increased confidence having conversations around identity and sexuality.
Practical tips on how to move towards inclusive healthcare.
Our training can be delivered:
- Online via Microsoft Teams.
- In person at your venue.
- In person at our premises at our centres in Belfast or Derry/Londonderry. (Restrictions may apply)
- In person at a 3rd party venue you can access.
