Introduction to Those in Therapeutic Practice
This 3-hour training course is aimed at providing an introduction to those who work in a therapeutic practice (i.e. counsellors, mental health practitioners, psychologists, psychiatrists, GPs etc.) and wish to become more equipped at supporting clients who are Transgender and/or Non-Binary.
This course aims to provide you:
- Awareness of The Rainbow Project and our services for Transgender & Non-Binary people.
- Greater understanding of language & terminology regarding Transgender & Non-Binary people.
- Greater understanding of Sex & Gender Identity.
- Learning on the clinical needs of Transgender and Non-Binary clients.
- Understanding of the experiences of discrimination & harm which impact wellbeing.
- Greater understanding of Transitioning and Trans Health & Wellbeing experiences.
Our training can be delivered:
- Online via Microsoft Teams.
- In person at your venue.
- In person at our premises at our centres in Belfast or Derry/Londonderry. (Restrictions may apply)
- In person at a 3rd party venue you can access.
