Our workshop on Unconscious Bias aims to help you take your understanding of bias, discrimination and their impacts into a more practical understanding.
As experts in LGBTQIA+ identities and education, this training is LGBTQIA+ informed, however is not solely focused on LGBTQIA+ biases. This will take you through bias holistically in any and all forms it can take to provide you a comprehensive and more complete understanding through an intersectional lens.
This course will teach:
- Understanding of the different types of biases and unconscious biases.
- Understanding of types of discrimination created from bias.
- Understanding of intersectionality & privilege.
- Understanding of the ways biases impact personal and professional life.
- Methods of challenging internal biases and bringing unconscious into conscious.
Our training can be delivered:
- Online via Microsoft Teams.
- In person at your venue.
- In person at our premises at our centres in Belfast or Derry/Londonderry. (Restrictions may apply)
- In person at a 3rd party venue you can access.
