Intersectionality Awareness Workshop
Our workshop on Intersectionality Awareness aims to help you take your understanding of intersectionality in both identity and experience to a deeper application of knowledge in your personal and/or professional life.
As experts in LGBTQIA+ identities and education, this training is LGBTQIA+ informed, however is not solely focused on LGBTQIA+ identities.
This will take you through intersectionality holistically to provide you a more comprehensive and more complete understanding.
This course will teach:
- Understanding of intersectionality of both identity and experience.
- Understanding of privilege, power, and how these impact experience.
- Understanding of how erasure, bias, and discrimination affect individuals.
- Understanding of negative forms of allyship towards marginalised identities.
- Methods of strengthening our ability to be an ally to those of intersectional experiences.
Our training can be delivered:
- Online via Microsoft Teams.
- In person at your venue.
- In person at our premises at our centres in Belfast or Derry/Londonderry. (Restrictions may apply)
- In person at a 3rd party venue you can access.
