I am an accredited BACP counsellor who works from a person-centred and trauma-informed perspective. At the heart of my work is a belief that everyone deserves a space where they can show up exactly as they are, feel genuinely heard, and be met with warmth, curiosity, and acceptance.
I see counselling as an opportunity to slow down, make sense of our experiences, and reconnect with the parts of ourselves that may have been overlooked or lost along the way.
My path into counselling began through my own experience of therapy and was strengthened through voluntary work with a suicide prevention organisation and experiences that exposed me to the impact of trauma and human resilience. These experiences deepened my understanding of how powerful it can be to have someone alongside you during difficult times.
I have a particular passion for queer-affirming counselling and supporting people as they explore questions of identity, belonging, relationships, and self-understanding. Through my postgraduate training in Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity, alongside specialist training in trauma-informed practice, I aim to offer a space where clients can bring their whole selves, feel genuinely accepted, and explore their experiences at their own pace.
People often describe me as warm, safe, and empowering. I am naturally curious and enjoy helping people explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace. I believe that being given someone’s full attention can be a rare and powerful experience, and I aim to offer that in every session.
When I’m not working, you’ll often find me near the water, exploring local woodland with my children, or making up imaginative games together. These moments remind me of the importance of connection, playfulness, and being present, qualities that I also bring into my counselling work.
