Cancer Champion Project Officer
I am one of our Cancer Champions Project Officers, working in partnership with The Rainbow Project and Macmillan Cancer Support, and I am based in our Foyle office.
My role involves providing tailored support for LGBTQIA+ individuals who have been impacted by cancer, as well as addressing healthcare inequalities and advocating for cancer services that are inclusive, equitable, and responsive to the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community. I work with a range of LGBTQIA+ people; some may be navigating a diagnosis themselves, others may be supporting a loved one living with cancer, and some may be facing barriers to accessing cancer screening services. We also work closely with health and social care professionals to help make their services, resources, and environments more LGBTQIA+ inclusive, working towards improving the experiences and outcomes for the queer community.’
Outside of work, I love going to concerts and listening to live music, and I may also be guilty of spending far too much money on matchas
