I am a qualified counsellor registered with the BACP. I have a broad range of interests in the clients I work with, with a curiosity and passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals.
I believe counselling offers a safe and reflective space; and that queer-affirming counselling can bring something extra, a deeper sense of acceptance, understanding, and belonging.
My journey into counselling began through a love of learning and meaningful, in-depth conversations. I’m someone who values those moments where something shifts, when a new perspective emerges, or an “a-ha” moment is found; and I find it incredibly rewarding to witness the ripple effect this can have in someone’s life. At the heart of my work is creating a space where you can bring your whole self and feel supported as you move towards greater insight and self-understanding.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in the corporate world, which has given me a grounded understanding of workplace pressures, stress, and relationship dynamics. I also know what it can feel like to be the “quirky” one, and how, over time, that difference can become a source of strength and empowerment.
For me, counselling is never static; it’s a continually evolving journey of learning, connection, and growth. Outside of my work, I find a sense of calm and comfort by the sea, and in spaces where I’m able to be fully myself with others.
Growing up, I often felt like I didn’t quite fit in, but I held onto a sense that one day I’d find a way to help others feel included and accepted too—I just didn’t know how that would look. During my time as a manager, I supported people through difficult and challenging periods in their lives, until one person reflected to me that I might be meant for more than management. That moment stayed with me, and it became the starting point for the path I’m on today.
