LGBTQIA+ BAME people- We want to hear from you!

The Rainbow Project launched a new survey about the needs, experiences and views of LGBTQIA+ people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) communities here in NI. We need your support to reach as many people as possible, the survey takes 30 minutes and is completely confidential.

This is the first stage of important new research engaging with LGBTQIA+ BAME people across Northern Ireland. This builds on the work already done by The Rainbow Project with our Gay Ethnic Group (GEG) and other community groups.

We want to do more to support the needs of people of colour, migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, international students, Irish travellers, and other minority religious and national groups within the North of Ireland.

This questionnaire, the first of its kind in Northern Ireland asks questions about a range of areas, including housing, language needs, experiences of racism and crime, and conversion therapy.  The information collected through this survey will help The Rainbow Project develop important new services and campaigns that serve the needs of our community.

This survey will close on 20 January 2022 and we are keen that it reaches as many people as possible – please help us spread the word!

The survey can be found here

The survey is completely confidential and anonymous. If you need support accessing or completing it please contact eli@rainbow-project.org or aisling@rainbow-project.org
