Keely McDonald

My role as Community Engagement Manager is to work to bring the LGBTQIA+ community together, creating the spaces and opportunities people need to feel connected, empowered and to thrive.

My background is in community engagement, most recently with Brighton and Hove City Council, where I worked alongside the city’s residents for over a decade to give them the tools and support they needed to engage with their council on their own terms. It taught me a lot about how strong communities can be when they work together. I believe that when a community is connected, its voice is strong and it can achieve amazing things to improve the lives of LGBTQIA+ people.

When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter, as well as playing music and gaming.
